| Professor Robert Allen is the Founding Editor-in-Chief of the prestigious, peer reviewed journal: Bioinspiration & Biomimetics. The first issue appeared in March 2006. Professor Allen handed over the editorship of the journal to Professor Robert J Full (University of California, Berkeley, USA) at the end of 2013 but still maintains close links with the work of the journal and remains on the Editorial Board as the Founding Editor. The journal is produced in association with the Institute of Physics. It covers a range of disciplines including biological sciences, engineering, and mathematics.
