The goal of the conference is to promote significant discussion and exchange of scientific information. The conference is targeted specifically at people from research establishments (universities, research institutes) and from industry who are responsible for developments in the fields of noise and vibration design, modelling and control.
The emphasis of the conference is on new
and emerging methods, techniques and technologies in acoustics and
vibration, focusing on specially selected thematic areas which represent
today's major scientific challenges. Residential Conference This is a residential conference designed to encourage interaction between delegates. It will be held at Keble College, Oxford, located within easy walking distance of the city centre. Delegates will stay in college rooms, and breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided in the magnificent Dining Hall, which is one of the largest and most impressive in the University. The conference will open with a reception and dinner on the evening of Sunday 05 April. Technical sessions will begin on Monday morning and end on Wednesday afternoon. Most college rooms are single and en-suite. There are various hotels and guesthouses in Oxford, but we encourage delegates to take advantage of the residential option, which encourages discussion and debate at any time of the day.
